Re: dipped beam fault Post by 147daytona » Mon Mar 18, 2019 2:54 pm Luckily mine was still under warranty as the complete headlamp assembly had to be replaced, they are not designed to be taken apart but it is possible to bake the headlamp in an oven to soften the adhesive and then dismantle it.

Last night and this morning, I got the Dipped Beam Fault warning. I have a '19 RSport. When it happens, my infotainment console goes off, my turn signals don't work, the auto up/down on the power windows stop working, and who knows what else is happening that I haven't realized yet. I have 2002 plate X type 2.5 V6 and have lost my dipped beam, I have checked various fuses and relays and cant solve the problem, it all came about when I switched on the de mist and then the

The dip beams on my 2001 Jaguar X Type stopped working. The bulb holders had melted but it was an unexpected fuse that blew. How to repair failed dip beams, Hi, as above, has anyone any idea where the dipped beam headlight fuse is located on the 2008 model, is it separate to the main beam, this morning both dipped beam were inoperative, I know they were working on Saturday evening when I last used the car. Phil The high beams are powered from the relay which has a separate source of battery voltage. The high beam/flash switch provides a ground path to the control side of the relay. Fuses #5 and #3 protect the high beam circuit. Fuse #1 in the headlamp fuse box is actually for the electric cooling fan.
